As Economic Recovery Chugs Along, Eyewear Consumers’ Optimism Gains Steam, VisionWatch Survey Says

  ALEXANDRIA, Va.—The slow yet steady recovery of the U.S. economy had a positive effect on the buying habits and purchasing intentions of U.S. eyewear consumers during the early part of 2012, according to the Vision Council's April 2012 Economic Situation Survey, a VisionWatch study that has been conducted every six months since 2008. Moreover, the strong and positive economic news in the early months of 2012 seem to be having a more beneficial impact on consumer sentiment with regard to optical goods and services when compared to previous years, the survey showed.   Read the article on VMail
