Adlens Wins a Bronze Edison Award for Emergensee Glasses

CHICAGO—Adlens has won a bronze Edison Award in the category Lifestyle & Social Impact for its Emergensee eyewear. The winners were announced during a ceremony here on April 25.   "It is an honor for me to receive the Edison Bronze award for variable focus eyewear on behalf of the entire team at Adlens," said Graeme MacKenzie, OD, director of industry affairs at Adlens. "This award is a wonderful validation of the beliefs espoused by our co-founder, James Chen: that the commercialization of innovative technologies holds tremendous potential to bring about social transformation."   Emergensee variable focus eyewear is designed for use as a spare pair. Based on Alvarez lens technology, the glasses can continuously adjusted by the wearer to provide instant vision correction for 90 percent of spherical powers, according to Adlens. Adlens' John Lennon Collection was named a finalist by the Edison Awards Committee.   Read the article on VMail
