Warby Parker Will Open 2nd Store in Boston, Adds New Design Collaborations
NEW YORK—Warby Parker is due to open its second full-service store in Boston this Friday, May 17, at 83 Newbury Street. The eyewear retailer, which has augmented its online presence with a series of showrooms within other fashion stores and temporary popup shops plus a bus trip/tour over the past year or two, opened its New York flagship store in Soho here last month. The company describes the new store as "integrating e-commerce with a hands-on shopping experience," where customers can browse collections and place orders using in-store tablets. An optometrist will be on sight to provide eye exams, and appointments can be booked in advance online. A spokesperson would not provide any other details about additional store plans for 2013.
