Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology Board Begins New Term

ROCKVILLE, Md.—The new board members of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) began their new term after last month's annual meeting, held May 4-8 in Orlando. William F. Mieler, MD, FARVO, professor of ophthalmology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, has succeeded Justine Smith, FRANZCO, PhD, FARVO, of Flinders University in Adelaide, South Australia.   "I am honored to serve as president of such an international and interconnected organization of vision researchers," Dr. Mieler said. "I look forward to strengthening the ties connecting our members, and their science, as we build toward the ARVO 2015 theme, 'Powerful Connections: Vision Research and Online Networking.'"   See more
