VEL Launches a New Product and Renews Coppertone Contract

Vision-Ease Lens (VEL) expands its line of photochromics with ChangeRx FSV AR and extends its partnership with Coppertone The new ChangeRx FSV AR plastic lenses are coated with Vision-Ease Lens' proprietary Vivid AR, for unparalleled clarity and cleanability.   ChangeRx lenses are recognized for their lightweight comfort, superior photochromic performance and affordable price point. ChangeRx FSV AR lenses offer these qualities with the additional benefit of diminishing glare and reflection thanks to Vivid AR. The super-hydrophobic coating reduces distortion by allowing liquid to run off without streaking. It is highly scratch-resistant, anti-static and oleophobic to repel the daily grime that dirties lenses.   "Photochromic wearers shouldn't have to compromise their budget to have premium performance and clarity in their lenses," said John Bator, senior product manager for Vision-Ease Lens. "ChangeRx FSV AR is great, affordable solution for eyecare professionals to offer their customers."   Like others in the ChangeRx family, ChangeRX FSV AR lenses quickly adjust to changing light because photochromic molecules are embedded throughout the lens monomer. The lenses provide 100 per cent UVA and UVB protection, and are offered in gray or brown colors. ChangeRx FSV AR stock lenses are available in 65-mm and 70-mm diameters for -6.00 to +3.00 spheres up to -2.00 cylinder.   Furthermore, VEL and MSD Consumer Care renewed their license contract for Coppertone polarized lenses, continuing their partnership through 2016. This is the second renewal for the two companies, which grants Vision-Ease Lens the right to use the Coppertone brand name for its polarized lenses in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
