The second time with Aisslinger
The architect and designer Werner Aisslinger has joined ic! berlin as design director alongside the founder Ralph Anderl.His debut collection “w. aisslinger for ic! berlin” will be available from October in selected opticians and boutiques. However, this is not his first venture into eyewear design.In 2009 Aisslinger designed collection 04 for “onono: the very few”, ic! berlin’s exclusive brand of buffalo horn eyewear.
Aisslinger's works are exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the Fonds National d’Art Contemporain in Paris and the Die Neue Sammlung museum in Munich. Aisslinger has developed furniture for Cappellini and Zanotta and has worked on architectural and product projects with powerhouses such as Mercedes- Benz, adidas and Hugo Boss.
