Corporate Sustainability: Free Workshop in Belluno for New ESG Competitiveness
Certottica Group and Luiss Business School team up on July 16 for a training seminar aimed at all local companies. Registration open until July 9.
The Belluno area is preparing to face the future in the best possible way. And in an era of ecological transition and increasingly stringent regulations, the future has a clear name: Sustainability. On July 16, at the Luiss Business School - Dolomiti Hub in Belluno, Certottica Group is organizing a free workshop titled “Impactful ESG Strategies and Solutions: Towards a New Sustainable Competitiveness” for industry professionals and company management in the eyewear sector, in partnership with Luiss Business School.
The initiative is part of the Copernico Project, an ambitious effort led by Certottica Group to bring top-tier training to eyewear companies, a true excellence of Made in Italy. Promoted by ANFAO and funded by EBO, the project includes a proprietary Digital Academy with highly customized, self-paced content specifically designed for eyewear businesses, thanks to strategic collaborations with leading academic institutions.
“In a market context that is changing more and more rapidly,” explains Corrado Facco, CEO of Certottica Group, “companies can no longer afford to treat sustainability as a non-strategic variable. Moreover, businesses that invest concretely and consistently in the core ESG criteria—Environmental, Social, and Governance—show better performance not only in terms of reputation, but also economically and in terms of growth. This is due to several key factors, including the strong sensitivity of new generations of consumers towards these themes.”
The workshop, scheduled from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, will focus on real-world case studies and practical exercises, from analyzing major macro trends and the evolving concept of sustainability to understanding the value chain and managing environmental impacts in SMEs. Topics will include ESG as an engagement driver and implementing sustainable procurement systems, with specific focus areas on carbon footprint calculation and ecological transition planning. The session will be led by Professor Cristiano Busco, Head of Consulting & Global Engagement at Luiss Business School and an internationally recognized expert in sustainable management accounting.
Participation in the workshop is entirely free of charge, as Certottica Group brings its training expertise to all companies as part of a broader effort toward local innovation. The initiative is supported by ANFAO and EBO within the Copernico Project. Registration is open until July 9 via the dedicated form available on the Copernico Project website (https://shorturl.at/ECXhj).
“Thanks to the support of ANFAO and EBO,” concludes CEO Facco, “this initiative offers a valuable opportunity for companies wishing to explore and adopt new models of sustainable growth—models that are no longer just a matter of ethics, but of competitiveness in international markets, where both consumers and investors are increasingly attentive to ESG parameters.”
